The following diagrams show a compilation of common stars and Cook island star names.  With so much variation between islands groups, we have chosen to show different names rather than adopting a single Cook Islands terms. 

Names come from Pukapuka, Manihiki and Tongareva, Rarotonga, Ngaputoru, and Mangaia, from recent conversations and stories and from historical texts.  We would love to hear of Cook Island star names you know or are familiar with.
